Biography
Daniela Giacco was born in Palermo in 1992. She got the bachelor degree in Chemistry in 2013 with the score of 110/110 cum laude and the master degree in Chemistry (Inorganic - Physical-Chemistry) in 2015 with the score of 110/110 cum laude at University of Rome "La Sapienza". She is now (2016) a PhD student in Chemical Sciences at University of Rome "La Sapienza". Her research activity involves the assembly of Lithium-air batteries working with various combinations of electrolytes and cathode materials and the study of the reactivity at the interface between the electrodes and the electrolyte. She uses a multi-technical characterization approach in order to identify the products grown on the electrodes during the operation of the cell. She analyzes cathodes and anodes by means of XPS, FTIR, XRD, SEM and TEM.These studies are carried out in collaboration with the Science Department of the University of Basilicata (Potenza, Italy).
