Biography

Andrea De Lucia graduated in Information Sciences at the University of Salerno in 1991; He also received a Master in Computer Science at the University of Durham (UK) in 1996 and the PhD in Electronic and Computer Engineering at the University of Naples "Federico II" in 1996. In 1992 he received a scholarship from the National Research Council (CNR) at the Department of Computer Science and Applications of the University of Salerno. From 1992 to 1995 he was a PhD student in Electronic Engineering and Computer Science at the Department of Computer Science and Systems at the University of Naples "Federico II". From 1994 to 1995 he was also a visiting student at the Center for Software Maintenance of the University of Durham (UK). From 1995 to 1996 he was a contract professor of Computer Fundamentals at the University of Naples "Federico II". From 1996 to 2001 he was a researcher at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Sannio, where from 1998 to 2001 he was also a member of the Board of Directors of the University. From 2001 to 2003 he was an associate professor at the same University and a member of the Management Committee of the Research Center on Software Technology, in charge of the workpackage "Existing Software Engineering Methods and Instruments". From 2000 to 2003 he was also a member of the Core Coordinator of the Master of Science in Technology and Software Management and of the Second Level Master in Software Technologies at the University of Sannio. In 2003 she moved to the University of Salerno and since 2006 is an ordinary professor of Information Processing Systems. The professor. De Lucia is responsible for the Software Engineering Lab and Director of the International Summer School on Software Engineering, which is held annually at the University of Salerno and is intended for doctoral students and academic and industrial researchers with tutorials from international experts. He has been PhD in Management & Information Technology for XXIX and XXX cycles. The research interests of prof. De Lucia is mainly involved in software engineering and includes software maintenance and testing, reverse engineering, reengineering and migration of inherited software, program comprehension, trace management, impact analysis, version management and software configurations, empirical studies software engineering, evolutionary and search-based methodologies for Software Engineering, Software Prediction Templates, Cost Estimator Cost Procedures, Collaborative Systems to Support Software Engineering Processes, Management workflows, document management, web engineering, visual languages, and distance training technologies. In these areas he has published over 200 articles in magazines, The professor. De Lucia has been coordinating roles in several local, national and international research projects in Software Engineering, many of which have been conducted in collaboration with companies. In particular, from 2007 to 2009 he was the national scientific coordinator of the PRIN 2006 project "Methods and tools for migrating software systems to web architectures and services-oriented: experimental evaluation, usability and technology transfer. Prof. De Lucia is also a member of the CeRICT, the Regional Expertise Center for Information and Communication Technologies, a consortium of universities and research institutes with the aim of integrating the various ICT skills in Campania and transfering research results to the industry world. The professor. De Lucia has been the editor of special numbers in international journals, books and international conference proceedings in the Software Engineering sector. She is also a member of the editorial board of international journals such as Empirical Software Engineering (published by Springer) and Journal of Software: Evolution and Process (published by Wiley) and a member of program and organizational committees at various international conferences such as IEEE / ACM International Conference on Software Engineering, IEEE International Conference on Software Maintenance, Conference on Software Maintenance, Reengineering and Reverse Engineering, IEEE International Conference on Program Comprehension, The professor. De Lucia is a senior member of IEEE and IEEE Computer Society and has been a member of the Executive Committee of the IEEE Technical Engineering Software Engineering (TCSE) and the IEEE Real World Engineering Projects (RWEP) program.
