Biography
Pio Iannelli was born in Salerno on January 13, 1958. In 1976 he enrolled in the course of "Industrial Chemistry" at the Federico II University in Naples. In July 1981 he graduated in "Industrial Chemistry" (summa cum laude), discussing the thesis: "Density measurement and order parameter in the nematic phase of mesophasic polymers" (Prof. A. Sirigu, rapporteur). In the same year he worked as a researcher at the Fertimont Society of the Montedison Group, in the research center of Portomarghera. In 1983 he was enrolled in the Ph.D. in Macromolecular Science at the Department of Chemistry at the University of Naples. In 1984 he won a selection for University Researcher of Chemistry at the University of Salerno, Faculty of Engineering. In 1989 he joined Dr. Yoon Do's and W. Parrish's group at IBM's "Almaden Research Center" in St. Joseph - California for a year of bilateral collaboration. In 1998 he is Visiting Professor at the University of Mons, Belgium. In 1998 he obtained a position as Associate Professor of Chemistry at the University of Salerno, Faculty of Engineering. In 2001 he gained his degree at the Ordinary Professor of Chemistry at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Rome Tor Vergata. In 2002 she joined the "Regional Competence Center of Campania", working for the "New Technologies for Production Activities" Project. In 2002 he served as Professor of Chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Salerno. In 2003 it was included in the list of qualified experts from the Ministry of University and Scientific and Technological Research (MURST) to evaluate research activities and industrial public projects. Up to now, it has been invited to evaluate innovative projects for the Ministry of Productive Activities (MAP) National Industrialization Plan and the Ministry for Economic Development (MSE).
