Biography
Leo Oliva is an ordinary professor of Industrial Chemistry. Graduated in Chemistry at the University of Naples in 1977, he became a researcher at the same university in 1984 when he became interested in the olefin polymerization catalysis under the guidance of prof. Zambelli. He moved to Salerno University in 1992 and became Associate Professor of Inorganic Chemistry in 1977, then Professor of Industrial Chemistry in 2002. His first scientific interests are in organic synthesis, so in thermodynamics of protonation of polyamides. Currently it deals with synthesis of polyolefins, structure-properties relationships in homogeneous Ziegler-Natta catalysis and polyalkylation catalysis applied to chiral synthesis synthesis. Main results are: He has held several teachings both of SSD of General and Inorganic Chemistry and of Industrial Chemistry. He currently teaches Catalysis and Industrial Chemistry for L27 and Macromolecular Chemistry for the LM54. She also plays the role of President of Chemistry (L27 and LM54)
