Peluso Andrea

Biography

Andrea Peluso received a degree in Chemistry, 110 and praise, at Federico II University in Naples, in 1983. In the same year he obtained a post-doctoral position at the University of Erlangen Nurnberg (Germany) in the group of prof. J. Ladik, dealing mainly with electron interaction in organic semiconductors. From 1986 to 1989 he was a researcher at ENICHEM SPA, where he studied electroluminescent materials and devices. On leave from 07/87 to 04/88, he held a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Montreal (Canada), in the group of prof. D. Salahub, where he conducted research on the development of methods based on the theory of functional density and their application to the study of reaction mechanisms. From 1989 to 1993 he was assistant professor of chemistry at the secondary school as a winner of a competition and at the same time worked at the University of Naples in the group of prof. Del Re. Since 1991 he has been at the University of Salerno, first as a contract professor, since 1993 as a researcher and since 2001 as an associate professor. In July 1997 she was at the Normale Superiore di Parigi as an invited professor. The main research interests concern: i) quantum analysis of the dynamics of ultra-fast reactions; ii) redox processes in biochemical systems; iii) theoretical design of new materials for non-linear optics; iv) damaging DNA damage; v) study of spectral band shapes through the calculation of Franck-Condon's factors,
