Specialization with praise in Medical Genetics at the University of Milan (Faculty of Medicine and Surgery). Curriculum From 2001 to 2004 he has been a research fellow at the Neuroscience Laboratory of the IRCCS Hospital Maggiore Milano. From 2004 to 2014 she was a research assistant at the IRCCS Istituto Auxologico Italiano of Neuroscience Laboratory, researching the molecular mechanisms responsible for neurodegeneration in Huntington's disease and parkinson's disease and molecular diagnostics on triplet diseases. From 2014 to 2016 he was a research assistant at the IRCCS Neurological Institute Carlo Besta, where he was involved in research on molecular mechanisms responsible for neurodegeneration in motor disorders and molecular mechanisms responsible for neuropathic pain. In 2010 she was visiting scientist at the Department of Pharmacology, University of Alberta; in 2016 visiting scientist at the Department of Pharmacology, University of Ferrara and at the Department of Cellular and Molecular Physiopathology, University of Milan. In 2016 he was awarded the Telethon-Farming Industry Award for neuroscience research. From March 2017 he is a researcher in Pharmacology at the San Raffaele Health and Life University.
Research Interest
Cellular and Molecular Diseases present in Neurodegenerative Diseases, in particular Parkinson's Disease, Huntington's Disease, and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. In particular, his studies focus on understanding the synaptic changes present in the early stages of neurodegenerative diseases and aimed at the identification and validation of new drug targets.
