Biography
Sir Peter is currently the chairman of NXP Semiconductors and was previous the CEO of British Telecom. Previous positions Sir Peter has held also include being a Director of the Sony Corporation, an Advisor for Apax Partners LLP, and a senior non-executive director of the AstraZeneca Group. Sir Peter was honored as a Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 1988, and subsequently became a Knight Bachelor in 1996. In July 1997 he was awarded an Honorary Degree from the Open University and holds eleven Honorary Doctorates in total. In 2001 he was awarded the first Internet Villain Award at the third annual Internet Industry Awards and hold an undergraduate degree in Engineering from the University of Loughborough.
