Biography
Tim is the founder and CEO of E-Certus, an information management company focused on the XBRL space. He served as Executive Director of the Federal Trade Commission, and later as Deputy Secretary of the Treasury under the first Reagan Administration where he managed the Chrysler Loan Guarantee, the LDC debt crisis, and the sale of Conrail. Following his time in government, Tim was Vice Chairman of the Bank of New England, and helped sell the institution to Fleet Bank. He later served as an investment banker at Oppenheimer and as Vice Chairman of Amtec. McNamar was also a Visiting Fellow at the Cato Institute and co-authored the book After Enron, Lessons in Public Policy. He spent his early career with McKinsey & Company. Tim holds an AB from Villanova University, a JD from Michigan Law, and an MBA from Dartmouth.
