Biography
2016 May-: Editor-In-Chief (Scientia Horticulturae) (Elsevier), 2014-: A council person (Japanese Society for Horticultural Science), 2013-: A chief in symposium (International Horticultural Society, Plant Growth Regulators in Fruit Production), and researches are Roles of physiological active substances in fruit growth (Cell wall metabolism, anthocyanin biosynthesis, and aroma volatile production and so on), Metabolism of abscisic acid, jasmonates and ethylene on fruit ripening. The analysis is performed using GC/MS and gene expressions, Effects of environmental stress (low temperature, water stress and so on) on antioxidant activity and physiological active substances in fruit trees or fruit.
Research Interest
Relationship between flower bud formation and physiological active substances. The analysis is performed using LC/MS and gene expression, gene expressions, Fruit tree growing and fruit production in plant factory with LED lighting.
