Biography
Uemiya Shigeyuki is currently working in Gifu University, Japan. His research work is on preparation and characterization of hydrogen separation membranes and hydrogen production catalysts. Among separation processes, membrane separation can be recognized as one of the most feasible energy-saving techniques without phase transformation, and furthermore, it makes possible continuous operation, process miniaturization and cheaper cost process. And, the idea of coupling catalytic reaction and membrane separation gives novel reaction environment because theare are so many merits caused by reaction product separation due to the Le Chatelier's law
