Biography
Dr.Y.C. Lee was borned in Perak and obtained his MBBS degree from University of Singapore in 1967. In 1970, he furthered his studies in the United Kingdom and worked in the Moorfields Eye Hospital to receive further training in Ophthalmology, he was awarded the Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1972. He returned to Malaysia the following year and lectured in University Malaya until he started his private practice in May 1974. In his pursuit of clinical and academic excellence, Dato’ Dr. Y. C. Lee continued to be actively involved in educational and clinical research activities in his chosen field. During his career, he had been instrumental in the development of ophthalmology, in particular advancements in cataract surgery, not just in Malaysia, but internationally.
