Fazrin Azwar Bin Md. Nor

Biography

 Fazrin Azwar Bin Md. Nor serves as Senior Independent Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Mercury Industries Bhd. He was appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company on July 19, 2006. He was subsequently appointed as the Chairman of the Board on August 17, 2006. On May 23, 2007 he was appointed as the Senior Independent Non-Executive Director. He also serves as the Chairman of the Nomination Committee and is a member of the Remuneration Committee. He is a member of the Audit Committee. He graduated from the University of Malaya with a Bachelor of Law (LLB) Honours Degree in 1990. He is an Advocate and Solicitor and a member of the Malaysian BAR. He is currently the Managing Partner of Messrs Rashidah Muzafar and Azwar. He is also currently an Independent Non- Executive Director and Audit Committee member of Poh Kong Holdings Berhad, Daya Materials Berhad and Tong Herr Resources Berhad and an Independent Non-Executive Director of Ire-Tex Corporation Berhad, all listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia. He is also an Independent Non-Executive Director of both DK Leather Corporation Berhad and Times Offset (M) Sdn Bhd and a Non-Executive Director of Kuchinta Tenaga Hijau Sdn Bhd and Kuchinta Group of Companies. He is also a chartered member of The Malaysian Institute of Directors and The Institute of Internal Auditors Malaysia.
