Biography

Pavithra is a physiotherapy graduate and has always been into active sports since school.  She was a keen runner and overtime she had to degress as she suffered from severe back pain resulting from a fall.  Thereon, she became interested in studying and understanding the potential of the most complex structure – The Human Body. She was introduced to Pilates in 2012 and with Pilates, she discovered a new way to stay healthy and strong.  Finding it an invaluable addition to her physiotherapy knowledge, she decided that Pilates would be her new career and started training with Pilatique Pilates Studio, qualifying in 2012. Now, she is a CERTIFIED STOTT PILATES  MATWORK, REFORMER, ICCB LEVEL 1 INSTRUCTOR. Pavithra believes that Pilates is a highly versatile technique that has wonderful benefits for everybody whatever their physical abilities or their goals may be. She is passionate about teaching and has a genuine enthusiasm for sharing the benefits of Pilates with other people. What she enjoys most about teaching Pilates is watching her clients bodies change as they begin to move differently. Pavithra  enjoys working with clients of all ages and fitness levels, ranging from sports professionals and performing artists to desk-bound professionals and clients looking to improve their general fitness. She believes in looking at the client as a whole, structuring the session around their personal needs and goals. She incorporates mat and machine work and the use of small equipment into her sessions. Pavithra feels that teaching Pilates, would not only enhance her own understanding and techniques, but take this learning to others who perhaps were not previously aware of its benefits. She is passionate about helping them to improve their posture, to strengthen, lengthen and mobilise and generally move with greater ease and poise in their everyday lives. Pavithra says  “ The philosophy of Pilates has fascinated and inspired me to the point that I have chosen to dedicate my life to studying Pilates."
