Biography
Prof. Dr. WW Mijnhardt is a professor in history after the Middle Ages, especially those of culture, mentality and ideas. He has been promoted with the dissertation 'To the salvation of humanity'. Cultural societies in the Netherlands 1750-1815 (1988). He specializes in cultural history from 1650 to 1850. In recent years his focus is mainly on the intellectual history of Enlightenment and Romance, the history of science and the history of the cultural and scientific infrastructure.
