Biography
Dr Marcin Nowak graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the Medical College in Krakow. After graduation, he started his specialisation in general surgery. In 1995, he passed the exams to obtain a first degree of specialisation in general surgery, and second in 2003. In 1998, he received his PhD, which was the culmination of his research on the clinical value of endorectal ultrasounds in rectal cancer surgery. He gained practical experience working in renowned teaching hospitals, including the I and III Department of General Surgery, Jagiellonian University Medical College, and Louis Rydygier Specialist Hospital in Krakow, where he worked as head of the proctology clinic. Dr Nowak is a member of prestigious medical associations such as the Association of Polish Surgeons, the Polish Club of Coloproctology, and the Polish Ultrasound Society. He is a member of the District Medical Chamber in Krakow.
