Biography
Prof. Dr. Dan Mircea Enescu is the general manager of the "Grigore Alexandrescu" Children's Emergency Clinical Hospital. He established the plastic surgery for children in Romania, being the first plastic surgeon for children. He is a member of the Disciplinary Commission of the College of Physicians, founder and secretary of the Romanian Academic Society of Plastic Surgery - Reconstructive Microsurgery, founder of the National Reconstructive Microsurgery Foundation, founder and president of the Romanian Society for Pediatric Burns, founder of the Association of Plastic Surgeons in Romania, member of the European Association of Burns (EBA), the Academy of Sciences of New York and the EBOPRAS (European Board of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery), Vice-President of the Romanian Academy of Medical Sciences, etc. The clinic he leads at Grigore Alexandrescu Hospital is one of the 17 accredited clinics in Europe that can train with any other clinic in the world. Professor Dan Enescu became Shriner in 2012 and was initiated in Germany.
