Biography
Mohamed Rashed is a professor of geophysics at the Geology Department, Suez Canal University, Ismailia, Egypt and at the Department of Geophysics, Faculty of Earth Sciences, King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In 2003, Mohamed Rashed got his PhD from Osaka City University, Japan and has a long experience in teaching and research in the field geoscience. He introduced several new algorithms for processing seismic and ground penetrating radar (GPR) data in addition to developing a seismic source for shallow high resolution seismic survey.
Research Interest
Main areas of interest are: seismic data processing and interpretation; GPR data acquisition, analysis, and interpretation; frequency-domain electromagnetic data acquisition and processing; integrated geophysical surveying; and seismic sequence stratigraphy for oil and gas exploration.
