Abigail Tan

Biography

Abigail obtained a scholarship from Changi General Hospital to do her physiotherapy studies in both Singapore and Dublin, Ireland. In the course of her career, she has managed patients across several medical disciplines with complex medical histories—orthopaedic surgery, respiratory medicine, geriatrics, and general surgery.  She also has experience in the rehabilitation of patients presenting with acute and chronic musculoskeletal problems. Abigail strongly believes that every individual holds the key to leading the quality of life that he wants. In tandem with initiatives by Ministry of Health of Singapore and World Health Organisation, she has helped to spread awareness of importance of injury prevention and leading an active lifestyle for active ageing and chronic diseases management. She has also given several public and in-house talks on leading an active lifestyle and back care for general public, office executives and healthcare professionals. Skilled in both rehabilitation and patient education, she is gentle in her approach, and takes pride in empowering her clients to work towards regaining their fullest potential.
