Biography
Miguel Martínez San Martín is currently Repsol's Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and member of the Corporate Executive Committee. His role involves optimizing corporate development and the financial-economic structure of the company, while ensuring that the Board of Directors receives adequate support in decision-making processes. Providing assistance to financial analysts and investors is among his other priorities. In 1993, he joined Repsol as Chief Financial Officer of Repsol Oil and Repsol Comercial. In the following years, he held various management positions in the company as Chairman of Campsared, Executive Managing Director of Service Stations in Europe, and Executive Director of Planning and Corporate Management Development. He was appointed Chief Operating Officer in 2007, and Executive Managing Director of Finance and Corporate Development four years later. Miguel Martínez is an industrial engineer, graduate of Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Industriales de Madrid (Industrial Engineering School of Madrid), and a specialist in financial information systems. His training as manager was rounded off with the Senior Management Program (PADE) at IESE Business School in Madrid and the MCR from the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) of Lausanne. Before joining Repsol, he was the Managing Auditor for Arthur Andersen and the CFO of companies such as Elosua and Page Ibérica. Miguel Martínez is also on the board of Gas Natural SDG, S.A.
