Biography
Stéphane Junique was born on June 29, 1973 nearby Lyon, France. He received a M.Sc. degree from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Physique de Strasbourg (ENSPS), Strasbourg, France, in 1997 and a doctoral degree in Photonics from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) of Stockholm in 2007. Stéphane joined Acreo AB in Stockholm in 1999. Though initially fully at the nano-electronics department, Stéphane started working part-time in the Networking Laboratory (Netlab) in 2005, sharing his time between activities in optoelectronics and broadband technologies. He moved to Netlab full time in early 2012. Stéphane started his employment working with optical signal processing. He then worked with the design, development and characterization of optoelectronic material and devices. He was part of the team that started the electroabsorption modulator activity at Acreo, an activity that is still going on today. He is experienced in optical design, semiconductor devices design and modeling, and packaging. In 2005, he was involved in the Swedish Intelligent Vehicle Safety Systems (IVSS) program, in which he studied design and material alternatives for a low–cost infra–red (microbolometer-based) camera aiming at the detection of pedestrians.
Research Interest
