Biography
Åsa Claesson has a M.Sc. in Materials Science from Uppsala University. She joined Acreo Swedish ICT (then the Institute of Optical Research) in 1997 and is currently manager of the Department of Fiber Optics. Her technical interests include materials, lasers, optical fiber and fiber optics, photonics, sensors, life science, and industrial applications. She is also active within the Gävleborg and Hudiksvall innovation systems, e.g. at Propell innovation and Fiber optic valley
