Biography
A native to the Seattle area, Dr. Manhas grew up in Lake Forest Park and attended Shorecrest High School before completing his undergraduate studies in the Honors Program at the University of Washington. He earned his Medical Degree along with a Master's Degree in Public Health in Westchester County and New York City. His MPH studies focused on international health and treatment of indigent communities. While a senior resident in neurosurgery at Duke University Medical Center, Dr. Manhas traveled to Uganda to treat patients at the International Hospital in Kampala. He believes in compassionate care for each patient, tailoring approaches to each condition with an emphasis on outcomes and best practices. He completed his education Medical School from New York Medical College in 2004, Internship in General Surgery from Duke University Medical Center, Durham, NC, Residency in Neurosurgery from Duke University Medical Center, Durham, NC and Fellowship in Skull Base Surgery and Neuro-Oncology from Swedish Neuroscience Institute, Seattle, WA. He is a member of Professional Associations like American Association of Neurological Surgeons, National Comprehensive Cancer Network.

His research areas of interests are abnormal vertebrae and accessory nerve disease.
