Biography
Born in 1967, Mr. Özel graduated from BoÄŸaziçi University, Department of Business Administration in 1989 and received his MBA in Finance in 1991 and MA in economics in 1993 at Virginia Tech University. He did his PhD in Economics at the same university in 1995. He started his career as Economist in Treasury and Fund Management Department at Körfezbank in 1996. He served in DenizBank A.Åž. as Chief Economist in Economic Research, Strategy and Program Management Department between 1997- 2010 and continues his duties as Executive Vice President in charge of Economic Research, Strategy and Program Management in DenizBank A.Åž. since 2011.
