Burcu Asena

Biography

Burcu Asena, starting from the elementary school, Charles de Gaulle, very closely involved with many different areas of both plastic and performing arts as well as music, such as ballet, theatre, painting, singing, playing piano and doublebass. She was graduated from Lycée Tevfik Fikret then from Bilkent University, Archaeology and History of Art Department. While having her Master’s degree from Bilkent University, Fine Arts Institute Graphic Design, she started to work as a PR Manager. In her outstanding Master’s thesis “The Rhetoric of Achaemenid Art” (2002) she discussed the art as an instrument of royal propaganda and social art; departing from the visual similarity of Persian reliefs and Benetton ads, she compared communication skills of 2500 years earlier with recent. She lectured many different groups for many different occasions.

Research Interest

Asena, used the communication skills she experienced through her Master’s study and business life, for 10 years working mostly in Ä°stanbul with several different global brands and artists as a communications professional.
