Biography
Dr. Engin Özkan graduated from Ankara University Department of Mathematics in 2002. The same year he started his PhD degree in the Department of Mathematics in METU and he completed his thesis, “Group Actions and Hilbert Schemes” in 2011, where Prof.Dr. Ersan Akyıldız and Assoc.Prof.Dr. Özgür KiÅŸisel acted as his advisors. Throughout the same period he worked as a research assistant in the Department of Mathematics in METU. As a research assistant he attended in courses such as Introduction to Analysis, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, Differential Geometry, Abstract Algebra, and Complex Analysis. In 2006, he worked for 6 months as a “visiting scholar” in the University of British Columbia in Canada. In 2011, he started to work in the Department of Mathematics in Süleyman Demirel University. Under the DOSAP program (Post-Doctorate Research Program), he carried out research activities for one year in 2012 and six months in 2014 in METU. Between Fall 2015-Fall 2016 he worked as a part-time instructor in TED University. Now, he is a faculty member of Science and Arts Faculty.
