Dr. Ahmad Alaslawi

Biography

Dr. Ahmad Al-Aslawi received his doctor in Medicine and Surgery degree from the Arabian Gulf University in the Kingdom of Bahrain and he completed the first medical training year in Al-Amiri Hospital and Al Sabah Hospital in Kuwait. He is the first Kuwaiti surgeon who had been sent on scholarship by the Ministry of Health of Kuwait for French residency Program in plastic, reconstructive, burn and aesthetic surgery and also first Kuwaiti surgeon who has received the scientific degree in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery from France. In 2010, the surgeon began his clinical training in Marseille among different hospitals and departments in the same area. In 2013, he moved for a year to niche hospitals to increase his clinical and surgical experience. During his training, he participated in several scientific studies in the field of plastic surgery with his French plastic surgeon colleagues. He was the first Kuwaiti surgeon to present a rare medical case in French language at the French National Conference for Plastic, Reconstructive and aesthetic Surgery, which was attended by more than 800 plastic surgeons from around the world. In 2015, he worked as an assistant professor in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Hospital Conception, Marseille, France. He then moved to Belgium to join the Belgian fellowship program in micro-surgery and breast reconstruction.
