Dr. Dimitra Kardara

Biography

Dr. Dimitra Kardara, Greek, member of World Federation of Orthodontists (WFO), American Association of Orthodontics (AAO), European Orthodontic Society (EOS), Greek Association for Orthodontic Study and Research (GAOSR), received her DDS in 1984 from the Dental School of the University of Athens, Greece. She completed her specialty in Orthodontics in 1988 from the Royal Dental College, Aarhus, Denmark, where she also received her Master of Science in 1994. She completed her PhD in 2004 from the Dental School, University of Athens. Since 1988 she has been working in her private office in Athens, Greece. Dr. Kardara worked on a volunteer basis for more than 15 years in the Orthodontic Department of the Dental School of Athens University, teaching both graduates and postgraduates students. She has special interest in adult orthodontic cases. Currently, she is the President of the Greek Association for Orthodontic Study and Research (GAOSR, one of the two existing Orthodontists Associations). Throughout her more than 25 years of clinical work and experience, Dr. Kardara has attended numerous Congresses all over Europe, USA and Greece as well as continuing education courses and seminars. She joined Drs Nicolas & Asp in July 2013.
