Biography
Professor James Terry is a British national, receiving his PhD from the University of Wales in 1992. He is currently based at Zayed University in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. Earlier academic positions include at the National University of Singapore, and the University of the South Pacific where he served as Head of the School of Geography. He has also held visiting positions in Australia and Japan.
Research Interest
Professor James Terry research includes tropical environmental change: geomorphology and hydrology, especially the responses of coastal and fluvial systems to high-energy events. Natural hazards: tropical cyclones, floods, droughts, tsunamis, storm surge, wildfires. Asia-Pacific region, especially island environments. Land degradation: erosion processes & land management
