Biography
Sue Lavender is the Coordinator of International English. She coordinates the BA in International English Studies and the University’s International Academic & Language support package. She also teaches language-based Modules in the English Department, has worked regularly on the MA TESOL in Japan, teaches on/coordinates the University Presessional Programme for international students and acts as Course Director for the Trinity Certificate in teaching English to speakers of other languages. Sue has a first degree in English language & literature and an MA in TESOL. She has worked with international students and teachers at the University of Chichester since 1994. She has also worked in English language teaching and teacher development in Oxford, Italy, Australia and Mongolia. She has taught English as an international language for over 30 years and is the author of a number of published materials for the teaching of English grammar. Her research interests include roles of English as an international language, cross-cultural language use, ELT materials’ development and English grammar.
