Biography
Rebecca Ryder-Caddy has worked within Higher Education in the area of Fashion since 2007 and has taught students at all levels of undergraduate study in the specific areas of CAD, portfolio presentation, design, fashion promotion and marketing. As well as positions within Coventry School of Art and Design (Coventry University), and earlier with the University of Derby, Rebecca has experience from the fashion industry through a number of positions including a design role within men’s casual, smart and denim wear; a role as the sole designer for multi-product activewear and performance skiwear for men, women and children and has worked as a creative consultant with both a heritage label as well as a celebrity endorsed loungewear brand. In addition to these positions, she has gained experience in the field of costume design and wardrobe services for both film and television productions. These varied positions ensure a broad understanding of the industry is present and her ongoing research work includes a recent paper commissioned by the Creative Cut, which reflects an interest in progression and innovation in the areas of both fashion and education
