Biography
Siddek is a PhD student in Medical Education at Durham University. He is medically qualified (MD 1998) and pursuing higher training in General surgery (MRCS 2007, and hold a national UK training number). He is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK. He had a Diploma in medical education from Dundee University 2011 and a Diploma in Surgical Research from the European Society of Surgical Research 2011. Siddek is conducting a design-based PhD.
Research Interest
His project focuses on surgical skills assessment in the UK. The research idea was published as a leading article in the British Journal of Surgery 2011 and won the First place at the Bright Ideas in Health Awards, (Training and Education Category) 2011.
