Dr Andrew Bowman Lecturer in African Development
Research Interest
My research currently focuses on the evolution of platinum mining in South Africa during the post-apartheid period, and its significance for the changing political economy of development in South Africa. I have additional research interests in public infrastructure and utilities, industrial policy, and the history of science, technology and expertise in international development.
