Biography
Michal Krzyzanowski holds a Chair in Communication & Media at the University of Liverpool where he currently also serves as Head of Department. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the 'Journal of Language and Politics' and co-editor of book series 'Bloomsbury Advances in Critical Discourse Studies'.
Research Interest
Michał Krzyżanowski was originally trained as a linguist and discourse analyst but has spent most of his career working across a number of social science disciplines. He has taught in departments of communication, media, linguistics, politics and social psychology to students from across the social sciences. His research is strongly interdisciplinary and critical in nature. It contributes to a number research areas including, inter alia, Critical Discourse Studies, political communication research, media studies, political sociology, immigration studies and political ethnography.
