Biography
Wondimu Mekonnen is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and holds an MSc in Accounting from the University of Stirling, an MSc in Economics with a specialisation in Finance and Credit from Donetsk State University, USSR, a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching in Higher Education from Oxford Brookes University and a Diploma in Accounting from the Commercial College of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Wondimu started his career in accounting with Ethiopian Airlines in 1973. From 1981 to 1998, he was a Lecturer of Accounting and Finance at Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia. He also provided consultancy services to the beverage industry on cost accounting.
