Biography
Dr.Colin McCowan is currently working as a Professor of Health Informatics (Robertson Centre for Biostatistics), Associate (School of Medicine, Dentistry and Nursing) in University of Glasgow, UK.
Research Interest
Professor McCowan has research interests in the use of existing routine data within epidemiological studies and in the support of clinical trials and other research methods. He has an interest in the provisioning of data for research and the Robertson Centre jointly runs the West of Scotland Safe Haven with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, providing access to routine clinical data for research. He leads the capacity building work stream of the Farr Institute and has published widely in the epidemiological and clinical medicine literature.
