Biography
Andrew Stafford is interested in the contact experienced between the public and the police, and in initiatives concerning crime prevention and community safety. I have worked with the police and other organisations to help design and implement crime reduction measures and to strengthen levels of public confidence and trust in the police and the criminal justice system.
Research Interest
Andrew's research topics have included police call-handling and crime reporting processes, experiences of public/police contact, police provision of information to victims of crime, police use of performance targets, community-led crime prevention, and evidence-based policing and crime reduction.
