Biography
Jim joined the University in 2012 following a successful career in the NHS. After an initial career with the private sector working for GE in call centre environments, Jim gained experience in all areas of healthcare through successfully redesigning patient pathways of care across the Bradford and Airedale Health Economy for many years. Knowledge transfer has always been of interest to Jim and he has led many successful Knowledge Transfer Partnerships. He was awarded the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) Knowledge Transfer Partnership prize for the Best Application of Social or Management Science and the Technology Strategy Board (TSB) Best Partnership Award, North East England. These awards recognisethe most innovation-led successful research partnerships.
Research Interest
Jim’s research has focussed on operations improvement strategies, the application of Operations Management theories in the service sector, strategic organisational change, leadership and organisational culture.
