Biography
I joined the University of Salford in 1998 as a Lecturer of Midwifery. I have spent 31 years in midwifery practice, education, management and research. In practice, I played a key role in the development and management of ‘team midwifery’ an innovative model of care that was woman focused and midwife led. As a midwife educationalist I have worked to improve and maintain effective working relationships across education and practice, and in promotion of evidence based practice. Research Interest
My professional background is in midwifery care and practice, though my research interests have arisen from health informatics and the judicious use of IT and information to improve outcomes for clients, services and staff.
