Biography
Dr. Gareth Dean is currently working as a Research Associate on the Castlegate Archives Project in the Department of Archaeology, The University of Sheffield , United Kingdom. His research interests includes medieval towns focusing on the interdisciplinary integration of a broad range of evidence to question the character and use of urban space, drawing on approaches developed by historians, archaeologists and historical geographers to explore their symbolic and social meanings, to see the medieval city as a landscape which is shaped and shapes the people who lived and worked there but also visited them. He /she is serving as an editorial member and reviewer of several international reputed journals. Dr. Gareth Dean is the member of many international affiliations. He/ She has successfully completed his Administrative responsibilities. He /she has authored of many research articles/books related to medieval towns focusing on the interdisciplinary integration of a broad range of evidence to question the character and use of urban space, drawing on approaches developed by historians, archaeologists and historical geographers to explore their symbolic and social meanings, to see the medieval city as a landscape which is shaped and shapes the people who lived and worked there but also visited them.
