Biography
Dr. Gouda is a civil and environmental engineer with over 24 years of extensive site work, consultant and research expertise in a broad range of water engineering, project management and environmental engineering (such as flood risk management, water and wastewater, urban drainage systems, hydraulic modelling, water quality management, irrigation and drainage, life cycle assessment/analysis, sustainability and carbon emission estimation). He has work and training experience in four continents: Europe, Africa, Asia and North America. Dr. Gouda’s practical industry experience has been acquired while working for Entec (now Amec), Southern Water and Atkins in the UK. He has worked on high profile projects in the UK and overseas with the last one being Crossrail project in London. Dr. Gouda has conducted applied research at the National Water Research Center (NWRC) in Egypt, the Urban Water Technology Centre in Scotland and the Pennine Water Group in England in a variety of unique projects. He is currently works as a Senior Lecturer at the University of the West of England in the UK. Dr. Gouda is a member of the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management, he is also Chartered Engineer by the UK Engineering Council and Chartered Environmentalist by the UK Society for the Environment (SocEnv).
