Biography
Emma studied her BSc (Hons) Chemistry with Combined Studies degree at the University of Central Lancashire and followed that with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Secondary Science) at Edge Hill College of Higher Education. After a career break Emma returned to higher education and studied for a BSc (Hons) Forensic Science. She is currently studying for an MSc in Forensic Genetics and Human Identification. Emma joined the University of Wolverhampton in 2007 and as a Demonstrator in Forensic Science. Her teaching includes forensic science, chemistry and study skills.
Research Interest
Emma has recently been involved in examining fingerprint development using ESDA and whether it is possible to increase the possibility of fingerprint acquisition by re-humidifying the paper. Also Emma has been completing anthropological examinations of what is believed to be a family burial. DNA examinations are to be completed in the future.
