Biography
Alan has been researching and implementing innovation best practice for over 20 years. He has been a keynote speaker on innovation at many international conferences and is recognised worldwide for his research into organisational best practice in innovation, and his absolute belief that innovation is the successful exploitation of ideas. With an international reputation, Alan was invited to become a senior industrialist to the UK government’s Department for Trade and Industry where for eight years he led research and codified the knowledge and best practices of exceptionally successful organisations to inform the national UK innovation agenda for industry and later for education transformation. Alan led the engagement strategy across the public and private sectors to implement and successfully exploit the best practice approaches his research had identified, designing and delivering for example, national programmes on Business Start-Up to over 2000 graduates across 30 Universities.
