Douglas W. Laske, MD, is board certified in neurosurgery. Dr. Laske has over 22 years of clinical experience, 18 years in the Philadelphia area. His practice and research interests include surgery for brain and pituitary tumors, spinal disorders, brain aneurysms, stereotactic radiosurgery and carotid endarterectomy. Dr. Laske has been voted Top Doctor in Philadelphia Magazine for 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and is listed as a Top Doctor in America for Neurosurgery. In addition, he was named Top Cancer Doctor 2015 by Newsweek Magazine. After earning his MD from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University, Dr. Laske completed a residency in Neurosurgery at the Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Laske went on to a fellowship in brain tumor surgery and treatment at the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Laske has published many peer-reviewed articles including his research on novel biologic agents for malignant brain tumor therapy and brain drug delivery. As a recognized leader in Neurosurgery, Dr. Laske has given many presentations and invited lectures including courses for neurosurgeons both at national and international meetings. Dr. Laske is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, Pennsylvania Neurosurgical Society, Philadelphia County Medical Society, Pennsylvania Medical Society, and the Society for Neuro-Oncology.
