Soprano Jennifer Michalik received her Bachelor of Music degree in Music Therapy from Michigan State University and a Master of Music degree from Northwestern University. Her honors include scholarships, awards and assistantships from both universities, membership in Pi Kappa Lambda and fellowships with the Opera Festival of the South and Aspen Music Festival. She has been a soloist with area and regional groups, singing oratorio and operatic roles in Scranton, Wilkes-Barre and Harrisburg among other locations. She has participated numerous times in the Carnegie Hall Professional Choral Workshop and is also a member of the Lancaster-based Wheatland Chorale. Jennifer has worked as a music therapist in Berks, Schuylkill, and Carbon counties, serving the seriously mentally ill, developmentally disabled and geriatric populations. Previously a member of the music faculty of Marywood University, she now serves as Assistant Professor, Artist in Residence and Director of Vocal Activities at Alvernia University.
