Biography
Dr. Hameed U. Peracha graduated with four years of residency training in Ophthalmology and internship in General Surgery at the Washington Hospital Care Center, one of the most prestigious hospitals in the Washington, D.C area. Before his training in Ophthalmology, Dr. Peracha, completed six years of residency training in Clinical and Anatomic Pathology, and Nuclear Medicine at the University of Connecticut Health Center. His training in Clinical and Anatomic Pathology gave him a better understanding of the disease process and its management. During his training at the University of Connecticut Health Center, he published several papers. He has been doing private practice since July 1995, and has since then, expanded his practice from Maryland to Virginia, all in hopes to better assist the growing number of patients with ophthalmologic needs. In addition, Dr. Peracha use to teach ophthalmology residents at the Washington Hospital Center and Fairfax Hospital. He is a certified physician and surgeon from the American Board of Ophthalmology.
