Tom Risch
Professor
 Department of Biological Science
Arkansas State University
United States of America
Biography
Dr. Risch's research involves monitored interactions or population dynamics of small mammals and birds. Recent projects have ranged from describing life history traits to assessing vector ecology. Techniques are applied toward human risk assessment for West Nile virus and measured benefits of genetically modified crops using small mammal models. Locally, his research examines distribution and behavior of bats in specific ecoregions of Arkansas and reproductive timing in Eastern Bluebirds. Tom still collaborates on projects with University of Georgia's Savannah River Ecology Laboratory.
