Biography
Pam Mertz is a biochemist who teaches both biochemistry lecture and laboratory courses as well as other courses in chemistry. She also teaches Nutrition and Introduction to Neuroscience. She is a Regional Director (Southeast region) for the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB) Undergraduate Affiliate Network and she serves on the steering committee for the ASBMB RCN UBE project. Her research focuses on lipid metabolism as well as intracellular synthesis of drugs.
