Biography
Thomas Kulp is an Associate Professor of Geological Sciences at Binghamton University (SUNY). He has obtained his PhD from Indiana University. His research interest lies in Geomicrobiology. His research focuses primarily on the microbiological cycling of environmentally relevant trace metal(loids) including As, Sb, Se, Cr and U. My interests include novel microbial metabolisms involving metalloids that permit bacterial life at extreme conditions of salinity, temperature, and alkalinity.
Research Interest
Geomicrobiology Role of microbes in environmental cleanup
