Gerald Storch

Biography

Mr. Gerald L. Storch, also known as Jerry, served as the Chief Executive Officer of Hudson's Bay Company since January 6, 2015 until November 1, 2017. Mr. Storch was responsible for Hudson’s Bay, Lord & Taylor, Saks Fifth Avenue, Saks OFF 5TH, Home Outfitters and HBC Digital. He held distinguished 30-year career in retail leadership and management consulting. He served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Storch Advisors since November 2013 until January 2014. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of Toys "R" US Inc. from February 2006 to May 10, 2013. Mr. Storch joined Target in 1993 as Senior Vice President of Strategy and served in roles of increasing seniority over the next 12 years. He served as the President of Financial Services and New Businesses of Target Corp. from May 1998 to January 2001. He served various other positions at Target corporation from 1993 (then Dayton-Hudson) to 2005. He served as President of Credit and Senior Vice President of Strategic Business Development of Target Corp. from May 1997 to May 1998 and Senior Vice President from April 1993 to May 1997. Prior to Target, he served as a Principal of McKinsey & Company where he served from 1982 to 1993. He served as a Partner of McKinsey & Company. He served as a Vice Chairman of Target Corporation from January 2001 to October 2005 and its Director until October 2005, where he played an integral role in the growth of Target as one of the leading merchandising and retailing companies in the world and with broad responsibilities including its supply chain operation, its technology services, financial services and Internet divisions, as well as oversight of its six sigma program, strategic planning and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Storch led the development of the SuperTarget grocery strategy and the target.com business and the turnaround at its Marshall Field's division. He served as the Non-Executive Chairman of SUPERVALU Inc. from January 13, 2014 to July 19, 2017. He served as the Chairman of TRU, TRU 2005 RE II Trust, Wayne Real Estate Company, LLC, Toys 'R' US Property Company I, LLC and Toys "R" Us - Delaware, Inc. since joined on February 7, 2006. He served as Chairman of the Board of Toys "R" US Inc from February 07, 2006 to November 2013. He serves as Director of Fanatics, Inc. He serves as Director of Bristol-Myers Squibb Farmacêutica Portuguesa, SA. He serves as Director of Medarex, Inc. He has been an Independent Director of Bristol-Myers Squibb Company since January 24, 2012. He served as a Director of Hudson's Bay Company since June 03, 2016 until November 1, 2017. He served as an Independent Director of Sprint Corporation (formerly, Sprint Nextel Corp) from December 2003 to October 28, 2005. He served as an Independent Director of Sprint Corp., PCS Group, Sprint Corp. and FON Group from December 8, 2003 to October 28, 2005. Mr. Storch holds Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School, Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School and Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and Economics from Harvard College.
