Biography

Veena Manja a noninvasive cardiologist focused on the detection and treatment of heart disease. She practice cardiology and internal medicine and care for patients with a wide variety of cardiac diseases at the Buffalo VA Medical Center (VAMC). She is the director of cardiac rehabilitation at the VAMC, which is a multidisciplinary approach for improving cardiovascular health and preventing repeat cardiac events. She also supervise medicine residents rotating on these services. Her responsibilities include attending on the cardiology consult service, covering the medicine hospitalist service, performing transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs), cardioversions and other cardiac procedures and interpreting echocardiograms, stress tests, electrocardiograms (EKGs) and Holter/Event monitors.
